Jared — Neighborhood Handyman call/text (317) 661-4048

Hi, neighbor.

I’m Jared — the handyman down the street.

I do everything big and small, but I specialize in the little everyday things that get in the way: the door that sticks, the shelf that’s been leaning in the garage since March, the faucet that won’t stop dripping.

Warfleigh · Broad Ripple · Meridian-Kessler

The deal
  • No trip fee. I live here. Coming out to look at your problem isn’t a trip. It’s a walk. Happy to stop by and talk it through.
  • Small jobs, fast answers. Most little things I can price on the spot, and often fix the same visit. Bigger installs get you scheduled right away.
  • Straight prices. You’ll know the number before I start. If I find more once I’m in there, I tell you first.
“I’m not free — but I’m not as expensive.”— me, every estimate
The small stuff (my specialty)
  • Shelves, curtain rods & TV mounting
  • Pictures hung level the first time
  • Sticky doors & loose hinges
  • Leaky faucets & running toilets
  • Light fixtures, fans & switches
  • Drywall patches & paint touch-ups
  • Furniture assembly
  • Weather stripping & drafty windows
  • Gutter & yard cleanup days
  • Small carpentry & repairs

And the odd jobs that don’t fit any category: unconventional possibilities are kind of my thing. Bigger work too: decks, bathroom refreshes, real renovations. I’ve built two houses. And if a job truly needs a specialist, I’ll say so and point you to someone good.

One free neighbor project a month. On the house.

One Saturday a month, my four kiddos and I take on a couple-hour project for somebody in the neighborhood, completely free. Yard cleanup, a wobbly mailbox, the shelf that never got hung.

The point isn’t the shelf. It’s that when we’re all out walking the neighborhood, we actually know each other. That’s the whole idea.

Jared Kempson, your neighborhood handyman

I’m Jared Kempson. Before I fixed houses, I spent years as a pediatric nurse, which turns out to be perfect training for this work: show up calm, listen first, don’t make a mess, tell the truth.

I’ve built two houses, I’m raising four kids (still in progress), and I live right here in Warfleigh.

There’s the way to fix things, and the right way to fix things. I only do the second one.
